SAG Challenge #4

Here is my submission for Challenge #4. Not entirely keeping with the colours - more red than blue - but sort of.

I was intending on putting together a NEW fabulous layout for you all to fawn over - but alas life called me and I went along willingly this weekend.

So this is out of D#1's School Album - this is preschool - she is now in Year 7.
This is back in the days when I matted alot. Actually I think the local scrapbook shop went out of business only because I stopped matting!

Thanks for the challenge girls - maybe next week I will manage a newy!
One little distratction this weekend was this:

A money box to compliment the colours of her bedroom. She has a pink and black room. Simple way to please Daughter #2 - Now Daughter #1 who was too cool for a crafty money box would like one too.... Keep drinking milo girls.

Sorry for the skewed photos Nicole - don't want to cause too much twitching there. Had to take photo from the side 'cause its night and wanted to avoid flash flare..... that's my excuse anyhow and it sounds so technical. :)

Well have we had the biggest laugh last night as well as the biggest reality check on the planet or what.

So how should you react when the wooden slats on your bed snap at 12.30am? Firstly there was a What the.... reacation and then we a good laugh.

Have that many kgs really crept on.......talk about things that go bump in the night.

How do you go to Forty Winks with a straight face and ask if they just sell the slats!?

It's a no brainer to be grateful when the house is tidy, clean and quiet all at the same time. #1 is at a friends house, #2 has gone to Miranda Park with a friend and #3 is at daycare. The noises I hear right now - the humming of my computer harddrive, the magpies in the trees calling to each other and the tap tap of my fingers across the keyboard. I think I'll put the kettle on. Peace - am I ever grateful to have it. Love my family but love my peace and quiet too.

Today I'm grateful for my sister-in-law and niece who have taken the older two and given them a break from #3 and some fun with their cousin for the School Hols :)

I'm feelin' a little pressure now! Thanks Amy, Nicole and Sharon for your comments. I will post more scrapping. I will. After stalking the lot of you for 'YEARS' as Nicole rightly states its about time I show myself - I think.

I so wish that post was a recent page - but no it was constructed a long while ago.

Don't be too excited, you will see alot of 'lifts' I lift Nicole, Cathy Z and Jodie Lee just to name some. Rarely do I come up with a unique idea of my own in relation to scrapping. Although my family are unique so that makes it special.

Sharon...I did once have a blog...but it disappeared into blog cyberspace as a result of lack of attention I think. I hope to brain dump here, not sure how into it I am will see how it evolves.

SAG Challenge #2

This is my first scrapping post ever. Thanks to the talented girls at 'SAG' (which is kind of an unfortunate anacronym for women approaching a certain age group!) - that aside, I am grateful for the kickstart back to my favourite pasttime - recording our lives.

So here is my contribution to Challenge #2 - Conversations. Love this innocent and so honest conversation between Daughter #2 and her Dad.

I gotta say though, I'm not sure how often I'll be posting, this took me a very long time.
